On our return from Europe we had two weeks to finalise the plans for our Aussie wedding. Some of our family and friends were also making the trip down under to Oz to celebrate with us for a second time and we all stayed at Hope Island Resort where the reception was being held.
We didn't have a church service again in Australia but we did show the video of the Swiss service at the pre dinner drinks for our guests to enjoy. We also got to dress up in our wedding gear again and make a proper 'bride and groom' entrance to our second reception.

Departing the villa for some official photos around the resort.
An official wedding photo on the bridge at sunset.
The bridal table and a shot of the reception room during the evening. It was a great venue for a reception.
Looking through the room's fountain centre piece.
Cutting the wedding cake (again) - this time it was chocolate mud cake with fruit cake for the top layer.
After this wedding we felt a honeymoon was not needed so instead we went with Ka's parents and her bridesmaid from Switzerland and her partner for a holiday to Hamilton Island on Queensland's Great Barrier Reef.
Walking out to catch the plane at Brisbane airport.
Relaxing on the beach at Hamilton Island.
Getting ready to go snorkeling on the reef and an underwater shot of the fish on the reef.
Sunset at Hamilton Island.
For us it was a busy but memorable month. Our two wedding ceremonies were different but special in their individual ways. We were so happy to have been able to celebrate in two parts of the world with both sets of friends and family and feel very thankful to everyone who travelled to be part of the occasions with us. We particularly appreciated the efforts of the 'inner crew' who travelled with us and attended both events.
So whats next?? Who knows...
Definitely not another wedding! But since we both have a passion for travel and holidays no doubt we will end up in some interesting part of the world again.
So keep reading this Blog and stay up to date!
